Der sich anonym haltende Street Art Künstler XOOOOX ließ um seine Person einen Mythos entstehen der internationale Kunstfans in Atmen hält.
In der globalen Street Art bezieht XOOOOX mit seiner Ästhetik eine vollkommen eigenständige Position und arbeitet vor allem mit Schablonen, dem Pochoir, auf Kupfer und gefundenen Materialien, wie Blech und Holz. Gemeinsam mit seinem Leitmotiv, dem stereotypischen Fotomodell, und den verwendeten Trägermedien hinterfragen XOOOOXs Arbeiten auf hohem ästhetischen Level den Anbetungskult und die Verführungstechniken der Haute Couture. Mittels der Verwendung von verwitternden Materialen, stellt der Künstler einen unverkennbaren Kontrast zu dem Glamour der Modewelt her.
The ever-anonymous street artist XOOOOX has allowed a myth about his person to emerge that succeeds in keeping the international art fans on the edge of their seats.
With his aesthetic principles, XOOOOX has moved into a fully independent position in the global street art scene. The artist works mainly with stencils, the pochoir, as well as on copper and found materials such as sheet metal and wood. Together with his guiding theme, the stereotypical photo-model and the employed media, XOOOOX’s works question the cult of worship, and the seduction technique of haute couture on a high aesthetic level.
